“Age appears to be best in four things; old wood best to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read.”  –Francis Bacon

What better way to start out my new “photo a day” project than with good friends toasting? We have all decided we don’t want to “recover” from our whirlwind weekend in Portland. Even a nasty stomach bug couldn’t keep me from enjoying a quick trip down to the Rose City to hang with two of the best ladies on the planet. As S so aptly put it, “Up with People, down with heaval.” Indeed. Voodoo Donuts at 2 am, Rogue Brewing Company, Tugboat, playing dress up, baconesque brunch, Temple Martini Bar, Lemon-lime Gatorade, and lots and lots of laughter… More please, soon!
